Frequently Asked Questions

What IELTS band score do I need for the UK, Canada and Australia?
Most undergraduate programmes ask for an overall band of 6.0–6.5, while postgraduate and competitive programmes typically expect 6.5–7.5, often with a minimum of 6.0 in each section. Requirements vary by university and course, so always confirm the exact band with your target institution.
How is the IELTS Speaking test conducted?
It's a face-to-face interview with a certified human examiner, in three parts: an introduction and general questions, a two-minute individual long turn on a given topic, and a two-way discussion exploring the topic further.
How many weeks of coaching do I need to reach band 7?
Students starting from an intermediate level typically need 4–5 weeks of structured, daily-practice coaching. Students targeting 7.5+, or starting from a lower base, often need 8 or more weeks.
